This afternoon, the seniors met with their non-profit organizations again. They didn't formally have a presentation ready this time, but it was something not needed. Capital Candlelighters has made a lot of progression. Cristina fixed the majority of the problems with CSS and has attached the style sheet to almost all of the pages. Luis has finished the photo gallery and events page for his group and the other group. Now, all that needs to be added is the CSS from their main site. Jasmine did a lot of the odds and ends that needed to be done for both groups. It was nice that I didn't have to hold her hand the entire time, but that I just gave her instructions, showed her once, and then let her work. Anne, their non-profit person, loved what she saw. Her husband came as well and loved how the photo gallery worked. Anne was only here for 30 minutes and after she left, the group continued to work.
Pregnancy Helpline has almost fixed all of the glitches with their CSS and has attached the style sheet to every page. Molly and Alexia did a lot of odds and ends to prep for Jae. Zon worked a lot on the flash video which they decided to take out and improving the pictures Terri sent. Terri loved the layout as well. While she still is unsure with what she wants, the students gave her advice. For both groups, I think that the site could be complete by next session. This will allow the students to finish up their PLCs and work on their Spring Showcase.
Isaac was the only member here today in the video group. For 1/2 of the time he was working on his video. He procrastinated when he reached a dilemma without the music Pacal was supposed to provide. He did however add a title and ending slide for the video. I think for this group I'm going to encourage them to make one more video and then really polish what they have.
