4-18-09 Flash Session 7 ITA Reflections

Flash was good this morning. The students started with a Learn@UW quiz and some of the questions were about ActionScript and Button concepts. Half of the students got them right and the other half got them wrong. I think when we have the students do the functional pre-loader, it should be a step-by-step activity making the buttons again and then correctly framing the labels. The review of jeopardy went decently, some of the questions need to be modified for next year. The pre-loader lesson went extremely well. The students were able to follow along very attentively and the actual animation took 20 minutes. I had the students save the pre-loader and they can use this for their videos. Overall, the students need a lot more work time for their project. I will probably send them an e-mail to remind them to work on their projects. I think if by the end of next session ithe students need one scene and beginning of the next scene started. Right now I'm worried about Brianna and Antonio's group. They just don' have a lot complete, but they are still working hard.
